Saturday, October 14: NATIONAL DESSERT DAY! We’ve got a bit of sweet tooth here at Puesto thanks to our awesome Pastry Chef Jessica Scott. To celebrate the day, Jessica will be making an eight-layer Choco-Flan Cake (layers of chocolate cake and vanilla bean flan), plated with house-made cajeta and a cinnamon sugar buñuelo (available at all Puesto locations). It’s rich, decadent and oh-so-good. AND, at Puesto at the Headquarters, Jessica will be making and serving hot churros, all day!
The rumors are true
Our October Taco of the Month, the Crispy Beef Picadillo, is served in a crispy taco shell! We’ve filled the shell with high-quality ground beef brisket and chuck, plus a few classics. The picadillo is topped with queso shredded romaine, avocado-serrano salsa, pickled onions, tajin cucumbers and a dash of hot sauce. The organic blue masa crispy taco shells are fried in house.
This taco has Mexican roots, but we took the quintessential Americanized taco to the next level with some Puesto flair and high-quality ingredients.
Feel like fall with October’s Marg
October’s Margarita of the Month is like fall in a glass. The Oaxaca Pear Margarita is made with chamomile, honey, fresh red pear, fresh lemon, Bruxo No. 1 Espadin mezcal and a float of Graham’s 10-year Tawny Port.
The drink is sweet, smoky and gently spiced with cinnamon for your enjoyment.
Horchata for a Cause
Breast Cancer Angels are our beneficiaries for the month of October. The organization provides a number of services and programs to support individuals and their families as they go through breast cancer treatment. Each year, they assist more than 600 clients and their families. A dollar from each frozen horchata sale will be donated to help Breast Cancer Angels continue their work throughout Southern California.
Gracias for all the support you showed on Sunday, Sept 24 for those affected by the tragic earthquake in Mexico City. With your help, we were able to make a generous donation to Cruz Roja. If you weren’t able to join us and would like to give, donations can be made at https://www.paypal.me/cruzrojamexicana.
