Puesto Names Corazón De Vida Foundation Its February Beneficiary For Frozen Horchata For A Cause
Frozen Horchata is icy, slushy and sinfully delicious. It’s also the way Puesto gives back. For every Frozen Horchata ordered, Puesto donates $1 to charity. During the month of February, Puesto highlights Corazón De Vida Foundation.
Corazón de Vida (CDV) is a 20+ year US 501c3 non-profit organization providing life-changing support for orphaned and abandoned children in Northern Baja, Mexico by funding local orphanages, providing quality of life improvement services and investing in the children’s future by funding higher education.
Through CDV’s life-sustaining program, monthly funding is provided for the orphanages under their care. These orphanages give abandoned children security, nutrition, shelter and access to a reliable education. Also funded are scholarships for teens aging out of the orphanage system to continue their education. They provide consistent, monthly support to 10+ orphanages, housing over 700 children. Their university program currently has 45+ post-orphanage residents in college or technical school, and serving as role models to their younger ‘siblings’.
Corazón De Vida leads monthly orphanage visits from Los Angeles, Irvine, and San Diego. Volunteers spend the day preparing lunch for the kids, organizing arts & crafts, and planning sports activities that provide extra attention they deserve.
Give LOVE is more than a slogan, it’s their entire mission at Corazón De Vida Foundation. Want to learn more about how you can positively impact hundreds of children? Follow them on Facebook for updates, and enjoy a Frozen Horchata today.
